Should the business be supported with additional equity? Can existing debt be restructured? Are there any operational fixes that can improve liquidity?

Our panel will explore these questions and present a framework for steering portfolio companies back on track.

10:30 to 11:15 - Panel 2: Insolvency as a Tool

Understanding the insolvency system can be a tremendous advantage for private equity managers, as it can often be used to maximize value in difficult situations.

Whether the intention is to improve the balance sheet, exit the investment, or something in between, different restructuring tools are available.

Our panel will look at both the benefits and risks of various restructuring options so that participants are equipped to make wise decisions should the need arise.

11:15 to 12:00 - Panel 3: Distressed Acquisition Opportunities

There are many attractive opportunities in the current market for investors to purchase distressed businesses, either as standalone or bolt-on acquisitions.

Arriving at a deal though can be challenging for those who are not familiar with the distressed M&A landscape. The timelines are short and information is often limited.

Our panel will discuss how investors can source distressed deals, how bids should be priced and structured, and where due diligence should be focused.
