Venturer Electronics, a Markham, Ontario-based electronics company, filed for bankruptcy on May 22, listing over $28.0 million in liabilities, primarily to major retailers and industry partners.

Founded in 1985, the company branded and sold a full range of notebook computers, 2-in-1 computers, and audio-video electronics through major box-store retailers throughout the USA and Canada.

The company attributed its financial difficulties to changes in its supply chain and a substantial decline in sales.

Krieger & Company is the bankruptcy trustee.
