Sweet Suite Home Builds Inc., Bankruptcy

Sweet Suite Home Builds Inc., a Calgary, Alberta-based real estate lender and holding company primarily involved in residential real estate projects, filed an assignment in bankruptcy on March 25, listing liabilities of approximately $13.7 million.

The company experienced losses on certain projects and was unable to continue payments to its lenders.

Grant Thornton is the bankruptcy trustee.

Counsel is Osler for the bankruptcy trustee.
