Grant Thornton Limited, in its capacity as Monitor in the CCAA proceedings of Spring-Loaded Technology Incorporated (“SLT”), is carrying out a sales and investment solicitation process for binding bids for a refinancing, sale or other strategic investment or transaction of SLT’s business, assets and/or equity.

SLT is a Dartmouth, NS-based manufacturer and developer of assistive orthopedic knee braces with patented, spring-loaded technology. SLT is a Health Canada registered class 1 medical device manufacturer and holds FDA  and UKCA authorization for custom bracing. Holding four registered global patents and within the application process for an additional patent, SLT bionic knee brace is a proven product with demonstrated clinical benefits. Having recently achieved break-even EBITDA, SLT’s business is well positioned to grow its market share and expand its operations. SLT’s knee braces are sold across 10 Canadian provinces and through international distribution channels in the US and UK. SLT presents the opportunity to invest in a world-class patented product with the potential for future revenue and earnings growth via capital investment, divisional patent pathways, and organic growth in new markets.
