A Senior Leadership Opportunity Within an Established Practice
Goldhar & Associates Ltd. is seeking an experienced Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) to assume the role of Senior Vice President, Corporate Insolvency.
This position offers the opportunity to lead and oversee a well-established corporate insolvency practice within a respected firm committed to technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and high professional standards.
We are seeking a seasoned insolvency professional who values diligence, sound judgment, mentorship, and the responsible administration of estates under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
The Role
As SVP, Corporate Insolvency, you will provide senior oversight and statutory leadership across corporate bankruptcy, Division I Proposal, receivership, and restructuring mandates. You will ensure files are administered with integrity, precision, and full regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT), Administrator, Receiver or Financial Advisor depending on the engagement type.
Providing final review and approval of statutory reports, court materials, and regulatory filings.
Ensuring full compliance with the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and OSB directives and rules of professional conduct for CAIRP.
Overseeing estate administration, bank reconciliations pertaining to Ordinary, Division 1 and Receivership estates, and reporting as required.
Supervising and mentoring insolvency administrators and potential new LIT’s
Monitoring file progress, realizations, and timely closures.
Maintaining professional relationships with debtors, clients, legal counsel, lenders, other professionals whom interact with Goldhar, CRA, OSB, CAIRP and other stakeholders.
Contributing to steady, sustainable growth of the Corporate Insolvency practice.
Qualifications
Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) in good standing.
Significant experience administering corporate insolvency files.
Thorough knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and related legislation.
Demonstrated leadership and file oversight experience.
Strong analytical, drafting, and professional communication skills.
Sound judgment and a measured, risk-aware approach to file administration.
Salary: $125,000 to $150,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
