Sam Gabor and Natalie Gillespie of Gowling WLG look at proposed amendments to the BIA and CCAA intended to provide additional legal protections in the form of a deemed trust for unpaid suppliers of perishable fruits and vegetables, and conclude that gaps still exist in the proposed amendments which should be addressed before the legislation is proclaimed and comes into force.
