Telfer (Western University, Faculty of Law) and Virginia Torrie (University of Manitoba, Faculty of Law) have published a book tracing the changing conceptions of the federal bankruptcy and insolvency power through four landmark cases that together form the constitutional foundation of the Canadian bankruptcy system. The book, which is called Debt and Federalism: Landmark Cases in Canadian Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law, 1894-1937, will be released on November 15.
