New Rules For The Transfer Of Certain Mining Rights

René Branchaud, Carole Gélinas, Radia Djouaher and Joëlle Montpetit of Lavery outline recent amendments to Québec’s Mining Act that impose new conditions on the transfer of mining leases, concessions and exclusive exploration rights, including mandatory financial guarantees for most transfers other than those under the CCAA or BIA.
