Manitok Energy (TSX-V:MEI)

Manitok Energy (TSX-V:MEI), a Calgary, Alberta-based oil and gas exploration and development company, along with its wholly owned subsidiary, Raimount Energy, was placed in receivership on February 20. In January 2018, Manitok, Raimount, and an additional subsidiary known as Corinthian Oil all filed NOIs; these proceedings were terminated on the same date as the receivership order. Alvarez & Marsal was appointed receiver and substituted FTI Consulting as trustee in bankruptcy. McCarthy Tétrault is counsel to the companies.
