Make an impact with our Recovery & Restructuring team as a Manager. This diverse team of professionals assists lenders and debtors with managing challenging financial situations. As a trusted advisor, you’ll help clients navigate through times of financial distress.

Responsibilities
Execute formal and informal restructurings and administer formal insolvency appointments including bankruptcies, proposals, receiverships, CCAAs, liquidations, etc.
Advise lenders, creditors or shareholders through financial reviews, business turnarounds, restructurings, bankruptcies, liquidations, etc.
Develop relationships with special loan financiers, insolvency lawyers, business executives, etc.
Manage engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities and lead the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet stakeholders’ needs
Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews
Contribute to strategic and operational planning related to stakeholder and practice management, as well as the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Completion of a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) certification and working to become a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT)
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered an asset
5+ years of insolvency experience, specifically corporate insolvency experience
Extensive knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act
Strong business and practice development skills
Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills
Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills
