Litigation claim for sale

EY as Receiver of Action Flooring is soliciting offers to purchase a Litigation Claim. On December 11, 2023, Action Flooring Ltd. ("Action Flooring") initiated a Statement of Claim against a lawyer in Alberta (the "Lawyer") for professional negligence and breach of duty owed to Action Flooring (the "Claim"). This Claim has been filed in the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, in Edmonton, and is currently in the pleadings phase. Action Flooring alleges that it incurred damages totaling $836,915.34 as a result of the Lawyer's actions. The Lawyer has engaged legal counsel and has presented several defenses in response to the Claim. The deadline to submit offers is Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 4:00pm MDT.
