As a Licensed Insolvency Trustee your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the sole intermediary between the debtor and all stakeholders;

  • Assisting the firm with the development and growth of its existing insolvency practice;

  • Promoting and meeting with new referral sources to explain and engage them as the trusted advisor regarding insolvency services;

  • Administrative duties such as: drafting documentation to expedite inputs, and other tasks as required;

  • Resolving technical issues and seeking advice from fellow team members when needed;

  • Ensuring statutory deadlines are met for all files under their direction;

  • Demonstrating flexibility to the demands of debtors, and Managers/Trustees;

  • Travel as required in Western Canada; and

  • Other duties as required

The skills and behaviors required for this position include:

  • Minimum 3 years of insolvency experience;

  • Holds your Licensed Insolvency Trustee;

  • Completed Insolvency Counselor’s Qualification Course;

  • Specific proficiency in sales- including exceptional interpersonal, problem solving and decision making skills;

  • Able to work with minimum supervision;

  • Excellent verbal and writing skills;

  • Excellent computer skills (Ascend); and

  • Self-motivated

The skills and behaviors that would be considered assets for this position include:

  • Strong verbal skills

  • Bilingualism is an asset
