Indian Head Consumers Co-operative Society Ltd., a registered co-operative based in Stephenville, Newfoundland, filed an NOI on August 16.

The company was incorporated in 1966, and its main operations consisted of operating a local co-operative grocery store and gas station. The company’s grocery products were primarily supplied by its largest creditor, Sobeys Capital Incorporated, owed over $4.3 million.

In July 2024, the company ceased operating as it no longer had sufficient liquidity to maintain operations. It does not intend on resuming operations, but rather initiated the NOI proceedings to conduct an orderly wind-down and liquidation through a SISP.
