Grande Prairie hauling companies placed into receivership

Grant Thornton appointed after RBC demanded repayment of approximately $1.72 million

Alberta West Transport Ltd., Bison Oilfield Services Ltd. and Ridgeline Forest Contracting Ltd. were placed into receivership on August 20, 2026, on application by Royal Bank Canada, owed approximately $1.72 million. The companies were headquartered in Grande Prairie and were involved in heavy hauling for oil & gas, forestry, and major manufacturing. Their core services included lowbedding, winch truck services, salvage logging, log hauling, and gravel transport, as well as mulching and land clearing. RBC issued demands on April 30, 2026. Grant Thornton is the receiver. Counsel is BLG for RBC and MLT Aikins for the receiver.
