Furla Canada Inc., Bankruptcy

Furla Canada Inc., the Toronto, Ontario-based, Canadian branch of the luxury Italian retailer Furla, filed an assignment in bankruptcy on August 31, 2023. Furla had three locations across Canada which sold items such as shoes, bags, and other leather goods. The company was adversely affected by the lasting impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, amongst other factors. The company lists approximately $3.5 million in liabilities, $2.9 million of which is listed as owing to Furla SpA. Richter is the Bankruptcy Trustee.
