Federal government “exploring” single harmonized cannabis excise stamp

David Brown of StratCann shares that the federal government is exploring a single, harmonized federal excise duty stamp for cannabis suppliers as part of a red tape reduction measure, potentially moving from requiring producers to use 13 different provincial and territorial excise tax stamps to a single, harmonized stamp — something the industry has said would save cannabis producers time and money.
