BCSC pursues disgorgement in long-running case

James Langton of Investment Executive reports that the BCSC has lifted a stay and revised a disgorgement order to $1.9 million to enable recovery in a respondent’s bankruptcy, confirming that disgorgement claims, unlike certain regulatory penalties, survive insolvency and remain enforceable through the claims process.
