Jeffrey Spiegelman has joined KPMG Law LLP as Senior Counsel, Restructuring and Insolvency, based in Toronto. In this new role, Jeffrey will build out and expand the law firm’s Restructuring and Insolvency practice and take a more integrated approach to business solutions for clients of all sizes, across a wide variety of industries. His practice will focus on providing strategic advice and advocacy to clients on a wide range of restructuring and reorganization matters. Jeffrey will provide guidance to both lenders and debtors, as well as all other affected constituents of insolvency and restructuring proceedings.

Dave Planques and Paul Henry have launched a new business called Revival Capital Partners (“Revival”) . Revival will focus on problem situations, fiduciary roles, and Chief Restructuring Officer mandates. Dave was previously the Vice Chair, National One Analytics and Deals Leader at PwC. Prior to that he founded Prowis Inc. which focused primarily on CRO mandates. Paul was most recently a partner at Birch Hill Equity Partners, a leading Canadian private equity firm, where he was a deal partner and also managed the Fund’s underperforming investments. Prior to that, Paul was the Chief Risk Officer for TD Capital Group’s global investment program.
